PARDON MY RADIO PRESENTS: MAUS HAUS PERFORMING WHERE? LIVE FROM THE KNOCKOUT

Maus Haus - Where

Welcome again to our exclusive web series, where we take a local band and place them inside of  your favorite local bathrooms, all for your viewing pleasure!

We are proud to host Maus Haus, Live from the Knockout Bathroom.

Maus Haus is a band that defies the San Francisco “New Garage Rock music scene”, fucking pitchfork, and creates a new sound that’s representative of the Mission night scene. (Note: I’m referring to the 24th st Mission night scene). With their unique blend of vintage synths and compelling melodies, they are a band you should be listening to right now instead of the sophomore slump lo-fi class of 2011.

Just in case you missed the last Maus Haus video,

Enjoy, there is more to come!

heart,

PMR

Saw You First

GIvers

Tonight PMR ends its hiatus on attending shows and working on band videos to attend the one and only GIVERS!! @ RICKSHAW STOP

We first stumbled upon Givers last year when we were following Ra Ra Riot around California for a month.

NOTE: Pardonmyradio is fucking nuts about Ra Ra Riot
NOTE: PMR has not seen Ra Ra Riot 7 times, but 8 Times
NOTE:GIVERS has Blown RA RA RIOT off the stage like global warming on summer festivals
NOTE: Some of this may be a bit of a lie, but not

On opening night in SF Ra Ra Riot kinda bored the shit out us. Maybe it was the change in drummer the prior night, OR maybe but just maybe, Givers blew our brains away with their sweet sounds and melodys. who knows but it did make following around one band better because we started following around both bands

As much as Givers wows us with their amazing shows, as much as Givers wowed us with their phenomenal ep, Givers did not wow us with their full length titled In Light.

Maybe its because Half of their EP was the first half of their album.
Maybe its because we had heard half the album on the EP.
Any of these two things could have been the case.

Regardless, go to rickshaw, see Givers, buy their EP/Album, hug them, because they are all so so adorable and dansey and cutesy and what not.

Note:WE are not gay for Givers.
Note:Their Ep and Album may or may not be the same.
Note:We dont condone hugging anyone
Note:Some of this may be a lie, but not

“Don’t get stuck in the meantime, theres no such thing as the meantime”
XOXOXOXOXO
PMR(see you at the show, Ill be wearing the most colorful cardigan)

ODD FUTURE, PMR Jumps on the band wagon and loves hip hop all over again

Tyler, The Creator

You can type Odd Future into any music website and they will proclaim the same thing, ODD FUTURE is the future of hip hop. They bring back that classic sound of who gives a fuck lyrics with laid back beats that stray away from over produced shit that big name idols regurgitate losing their raw originality that you fell in love with from the first album.

At the forefront of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, stands Tyler, creative aka R. Kelly aka that 20 year old skateboarding kid that writes, produces and spits raw lyrics that reference anything from Reptar to obnoxious sexual experiences in your mums house while shes away. Tyler claims to not be a great rapper but he is on top of the game and shows no sign of letting up on his position.

Tyler, the Creators’ second album GOBLIN drops May 10, in the mean time check the video for Yonkers.

STAR SLINGER-Baby Mama

SCHOOL DAZE.

Unfortunately, PMR has class today. Probably have to miss that Here We Go Magic show at the Rickshaw.

I leave you with this: STAR SLINGER!!!! Straight from Manchester!
Interesting mix of Hip Hop beats and Experimental funk with simple samples of songs that you’ve probably never heard. So take your mind out of the Osama and back into the gutter.

SF CONNECTION:
New project in the works with SF’s Blackbird Blackbird.

Oh and this remix of Morning Benders Cold War

The Morning Benders - Cold War (Star Slinger Remix) buy & support japan by Star Slinger

Late for class,

Cupids In Mud Puddles

Shigeto

Shigeto - Cupids In Mud Puddles

Tonight April 29, 2011,San Francisco’s Shigeto rocks the house with:

his “Cool shades of ambient music, stuttering early IDM, dubstep sub-bass, and jazz melodicism color Shigeto’s palette, which he wields with a painterly attention to detail.” via GHOSTLY INTERNATIONAL.

Screw that description! It’s one bad ass motha fucking cool jerk, rocking the samplers and live drums! Just what your Fryday needed!

Check out the track and the show @ GAFFTA. see their site for more info.

Last time PMR saw Shitgeto, we went to see Mount Kimbe and in our opinion, Shigeto blew them the fuck away leaving only MK’s dirty socks to play the set that followed.

See you at GAFFTA,

Break beating with luv,
PMR

Not so late entry from PMR

What: The Pains of Being
When and where: April 19@ Amoeba Records San Francisco

If your like us, chances are you didn’t have tickets to see New York’s The Pains of Being of Being Pure at Heart @ The Great American Music Hall. It was sold out and PMR had seen them a couple of years back at the same venue but playing to less people.

Fucking Elitist.
